Date of birth: 11/11/1969

Born: 4th floor of the old Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS
Raised: Jackson/Reservoir area
Kids: my 2 sweet Pomeranians and my kitty – Gotta first mention Lil' Sydney who went to puppy dog heaven in June 2007 - my best little friend! I sure do miss you, Sydney. Now there's Lacey & Roxie and my kitty, Mia. All 3 were rescued and all 3 are precious. (see pics below)
Previous jobs: lifeguard, swim coach, church choir director, voice teacher & dee-jay.
Got into radio… Completely accidentally! I took a part time job at the radio station at Mississippi College while I was working on my music (vocal) & foreign language degrees. While doing that, I got a call to become a member of the staff of WJDX-Mix 96. Of course, I took it! Then after a few years our company bought Q 105.1 and I have been here ever since.
I like: music, swimming, food, my dogs, my cat, boating, cruising in the convertible with the music blasting, Dan Marino, Bloody Marys & long baths.
I hate: hypocrites, people who don’t use blinkers, nosey neighbors and lazy people who don't pull their weight..
Weirdest thing about you: the fact that I have a HUGE Dan Marino collection and the fact that I check to make sure the oven is off before I leave the house (even though I haven’t used it in days)
Where would we find you on the weekend? Boating, swimming, hanging out with friends or working at live broadcasts for the Q.
Fave Food: anything rich and creamy… from casseroles to dark chocolate! AND Diet Mountain Dew… (is that a food?)
Fave Movie: Bridges of Madison County and Titanic… OK, I know… I’m a sucker for ill-fated love stories.
Fave song on Q 105.1: Gordon Lightfoot “If You Could Read My Mind” and Gladys Knight “The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me”
Fave artist: Gladys Knight, Dorothy Moore & ABBA
Fave car: As far as new cars, it’s the 2007 Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse… For an older car, I would choose the 1956 Ford Thunderbird.

I'm one of those who doesn't really "endorse" undiscovered talent much. I mean, there are good singers out there, don't get me wrong. But, a musician that really GETS it, is hard to find.
This guy GETS it. And, he's from Mississippi which makes it even better.
You can feel every single word he is singing and apparently America agrees. He just made the Top 10 in America's Got Talent.
His name is Michael Grimm.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.
